ComAp controllers show this as a text alarm on the display, not as a numbered code.
The generator electrical frequency has exceeded the maximum threshold. Over frequency indicates engine speed is too high, which can damage sensitive electrical equipment and indicates a governor problem.

In Kenya and most of Africa, generators should produce 50Hz (+/-0.5Hz under stable load). At 50Hz, a 4-pole generator runs at 1500 RPM, and a 2-pole at 3000 RPM.
Brief frequency variations are tolerable, but sustained operation above 52Hz can damage motors (they run fast and hot), transformers, and sensitive electronics. Fix promptly.
Send us the code or alarm and what the generator is doing, and one of our engineers will help you diagnose it.

A fault code names a symptom, not a cause. Our engineers have written the diagnostic sequence they use on site for this class of fault — ranked causes, ordered steps with the reading expected at each one, and the point at which to stop and call someone.
