DSE controllers show this as a text alarm on the display, not as a numbered code.
Engine speed has dropped below the minimum threshold configured in the DSE controller. This typically indicates the engine is being overloaded or is experiencing fuel delivery problems. If not corrected, it will progress to an underspeed shutdown.

Underspeed indicates the engine cannot maintain proper RPM. This is usually caused by overloading, restricted fuel supply, or dirty air filter. Reduce load and check filters.
A 50Hz generator runs at 1500 RPM (4-pole) or 3000 RPM (2-pole). The DSE underspeed threshold is typically set 5-10% below rated speed.
Send us the code or alarm and what the generator is doing, and one of our engineers will help you diagnose it.

A fault code names a symptom, not a cause. Our engineers have written the diagnostic sequence they use on site for this class of fault — ranked causes, ordered steps with the reading expected at each one, and the point at which to stop and call someone.
