Kenya's real estate boom demands reliable power. From Upperhill office towers to Kileleshwa apartments, modern buildings need backup power. It's a selling point that adds value to every unit.
We'll assess your facility and provide a detailed power analysis at no cost.
Power failures in real estate & construction don't just cause inconvenience - they cost real money, damage reputations, and can even put lives at risk.
Cranes, welding machines, and concrete mixers need power. Waiting for Kenya Power connections delays projects by weeks. Generators let you start building immediately.
Residents trapped in elevators during blackouts. Elderly and disabled unable to reach upper floors. Complaints to management company pile up.
Gates don't open, intercom fails, CCTV goes dark. Criminals know when compounds are vulnerable. One security incident destroys property value.
Upper floors without water during outages. Residents can't flush toilets, shower, or cook. Fire suppression systems fail. Major liability.
Parking basements, corridors, and lobbies go dark. Accidents happen, cars get vandalized, property looks unmaintained. Rentals suffer.

Common questions from real estate & construction professionals like you.
Yes! Our rent-to-own program lets you rent during construction and apply up to 50% of rental payments toward purchase. If the generator suits your building's permanent needs, you can convert it. Otherwise, we'll supply a right-sized unit for the completed building.
We calculate based on: elevator motor sizes, water pump requirements, common area lighting, and any tenant backup loads. A typical 50-unit building with 2 elevators and borehole needs 50-80kVA. We do detailed load calculations during our FREE site survey.
All our residential installations use super-silent canopies (60-65dB at 7m). We also position generators strategically - away from bedrooms, with sound-absorbing barriers if needed. Our residential systems meet NEMA noise regulations.
Yes. For commercial buildings, we can install individual kWh meters per tenant. Generator running costs are billed based on actual consumption. For apartments, we typically include generator costs in service charge with a small reserve for fuel.
We can design: (1) Central generator feeding all buildings via distribution, or (2) Individual generators per building for redundancy. Choice depends on layout, budget, and reliability requirements. Central systems are cheaper; distributed systems are more reliable.

Engineering reference
A development needs power in two phases that are usually treated as unrelated but should be planned together: temporary, robust power on the construction site, then permanent, distributed standby power for the finished estate, mall or tower. We engineer both — and the transition between them.
During construction the priority is rugged, flexible power for tower cranes, hoists, mixers and welding — often best met with rental generation sized for the heavy, intermittent motor loads of a building site, with the ability to scale as the project grows. We supply and support that phase, then design the permanent installation so the developer is not buying power twice.
For the completed asset, the permanent standby system covers common-area loads that residents and tenants depend on: lifts, water pressurisation and boosting, common lighting, security, fire systems and basement ventilation. These are the loads whose failure makes a building uninhabitable, so they sit on automatic standby.
A multi-block estate or high-rise needs proper distribution design: an HV intake and transformer where the load justifies it, metered sub-distribution per block or tenancy, and a standby scheme that carries the right loads without over-building. Done well, it keeps service charges predictable and the development marketable.
Our Greenheart Kilifi real-estate project is an example of this approach — estate-wide standby power engineered for the development’s distributed loads, not a single building.
