Low Oil Pressure Warning

⚠️WARNING

The ComAp controller has detected engine oil pressure below the warning threshold. This is an early warning before shutdown level is reached. Immediate attention is required to prevent engine damage.

🔍 Possible Causes

  • •Engine oil level getting low
  • •Oil viscosity breakdown from overheating
  • •Oil filter becoming restricted
  • •Oil pressure sensor calibration drift
  • •Bearing wear beginning
  • •Oil pump wear

🔧 Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Check engine oil level on dipstick
  2. 2Inspect oil condition - check for contamination
  3. 3Verify oil filter service interval
  4. 4Compare oil pressure to mechanical gauge
  5. 5Check oil temperature - hot oil reads lower pressure
  6. 6Listen for unusual bearing noise

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between ComAp A001 and A002 oil faults?

A001 is a warning level - early notification that oil pressure is getting low. A002 is a shutdown level - engine will stop to prevent damage. A001 gives time to address the issue.

How do I adjust ComAp oil pressure thresholds?

Use ComAp InteliConfig or InteliMonitor software to access protection settings. Oil pressure warning and shutdown levels are in the Binary Outputs configuration.
